Project Overview:

Thé Maison is a modern tea brand that merges heritage and exploration through a curated collection of globally sourced teas. This design concept involved developing a full packaging suite across multiple flavor variants, each inspired by a different geographic origin, from the misty Ali Mountains of Taiwan to the vibrant highlands of Brazil. The focus was to elevate the everyday tea ritual into a sensorial and visual experience.

Objective:

The goal was to create a cohesive product line that could communicate premium quality while maintaining a clear distinction between the different blends. The design needed to speak to a design-conscious audience and feel equally at home in concept stores, boutique hotels, or lifestyle retail spaces.

Challenges:

Creating visual differentiation between the variants without breaking the unified brand feel was a central challenge. The solution had to be scalable and flexible enough to accommodate a growing product line, with packaging that could reflect both the taste profile and the origin story of each blend without relying on cliché visuals.

Design Process:

The design process began with color as the storytelling anchor. Each tea blend was translated into a specific hue and soft gradient, hinting at the infusion’s notes and origin. A cylindrical matte black tin became the signature container, allowing the inner vibrance to glow through a diffused abstract panel. Each lid was marked with a custom flower motif in its corresponding color, reinforcing the varietal identity in a minimal, memorable way.

To elevate the unboxing moment, a bold outer sleeve was introduced. This secondary packaging featured organic, botanical-inspired patterns that echoed the lush environments the teas come from, printed in high contrast on black to enhance shelf impact. Typography choices — a serif logotype paired with modern minimal info treatment — contributed to a sense of elegance without excess.

Outcome:

The final result is a packaging system that feels bold yet refined. Each product variant stands on its own, yet belongs clearly within the same design family. From vibrant greens to moody purples and sunset oranges, the line successfully communicates the sensory richness of the tea inside while offering visual coherence and premium appeal.

Key Achievements:

By pairing minimalist structure with expressive detailing, this project captures the spirit of contemporary tea culture. Thé Maison’s product line now feels like a collectible series: modern, global, and designed for discerning tea lovers who value both taste and aesthetics.
